Wasn't that Tim Geithner who didn't pay taxes?

Most migraine medications are through the roof. Imitrex and Maxalt are super expensive. RX insurance covers some pills but not others. People with no insurance and certain income levels can call the drug company if they can't afford their RX and many times the drug company will provide them with the medication. Most people don't realise that. I didn't know that!

Tim Geithner and now Tom Daschle didn't pay his correctly either. This is not change I can believe in this is the same old stuff.
Yes all big drug companies are willing to help with high costs. I worked in Pharmacy for awhile so I know.

I think that is great but you know those of us who work and pay usually get screwed.

I'm still skeptical of the position on torture. That's not change I can believe in, either.

I agree 100% with that Almeda. Sadly this form of getting info at all costs is done world wide by all groups. I thought the Geneva Convention was supposed to be the guideline.

It is the guideline. This morning I was thinking, as I drank my coffee, "Please say it isn't so, President Obama." Even Eric Holder said that waterboarding is torture in the confirmation hearings last month.

I was referring to the loopholes and the possible continuation of the previous administration's policies.

I am hoping for a whole new approach. Obama has had some problems lately and lets hope he makes the right choices in policy in this area. BTW, Tom Daschle removed himself from nomination for HHS. Good move. One more tax cheat is something the average American on both sides doesn't want.

well regardless of whether people agree with what Obama is doing I do give him credit for trying and at least not ignoring the issues.

You have a point there, benstabler. I give Obama credit for facing issues head on also and owning up to them.

I agree that he is upfront with issues and gives press interviews to explain his position. Today he came out and limited pay to top execs. who take bailout money. If ya take from the govt there has to be some rules on how ya spend it.
Sadly it is not retroactive to AIG and others who have misspent the money already.

so very true Patti. I read about some company that still had some expensive "junket" to Las vegas planned after getting government money and how some banks actively pursued folks from out of the country to hire with the taxpayers money.
Obama, like anyone, will make some mistakes along the way but so far I am happy with the way things are progressing such as the salary cap. Those people should NOT be profiting from OUR money when some of their bad decisions got us to where we are to begin with.

Agreed. I generally don't favor the govt. setting rules in the private sector but when you come crawling to the govt for help then need to follow the rules. It is plain and simple.
