Law & Order:SVU Signs "Lost" Alumwww.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Exclusives-Law-1020198.aspxLost alum Henry Ian Cusick, who played the time-traveling Desmond Hume on the ABC series, is leaping to NBC. He has signed on for at least two fall episodes of Law & Order: SVU, playing a graphic artist named Erik Weber. SVU executive producer Neal Baer, a fan of Lost, tells me he cast Ian because he is "a sharp, smart leader and very charismatic." Could Ian finally help Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) get over her long romantic dry spell? (Her last lover was Kurt Moss, played by Bill Pullman, way back in 2008!) "There might be some flirtation," Baer says. "Erik meets Olivia when he comes to someone's aid. And then we'll see how it goes. Olivia is devoted to her job and knows that comes first." While this comes as good news to us, somewhere out there Penny Widmore is sobbing. SVU is also looking for a big-name female to replace the departing Sharon Stone. Maybe Sonya Walger (Penny) could play that role?!

MEGA BUZZ 7/6/10 www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-House-SVU-Bones-1020215.aspxIf this is the last season of Law & Order: SVU, does it mean we'll finally see Benson and Stabler together? — Gloria
MICKEY: Well, it may or may not be the last season; nothing official has been announced. It all depends on how Law & Order: Los Angeles does. As for an ultimate Benson-Stabler hookup, don't hold your breath. First, it's totally not Dick Wolf's style to center one of his shows on a romance. Second, Olivia is already getting a new love interest. (Good to see you again, brutha.)

If this show would just go back to what it was the first 6-7 seasons they would need no big stars or gimmicks. Trust me.

Exclusive: Joan Cusack Signs on to Law & Order: SVUwww.tvguide.com/News/Joan-Cusack-SVU-1020325.aspxJul 9, 2010 04:43 PM ET by Mickey O'Connor Joan Cusack will guest-star on Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. The 47-year-old Oscar-nominated actress will play the mother of a girl who disappeared some years earlier. When her other daughter also goes missing, she becomes the focus of an investigation. Cusack's appearance coincides with the introduction of Erik Weber (Henry Ian Cusick),a graphic designer who woos Detective Olivia Benson. (No word yet on whether Cusack's character wears a back brace or dances in her underwear — or whether Cusack and Cusick will play music at CUSEC, the Central U.S. Earthquake Consortium.) The episode will air in the fall.

www.tvguide.com/News/Ask-Matt-Emmys-1020364.aspxAsk Matt July 12th, 2010 Question: Please tell me Sharon Stone is gone and out of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She was horrid! Any chance Stephanie March will come back? Or how about rotating March and Diane Neal? Or are there other names floating out there for the D.A. position? — Kevin Matt Roush: Rest easy. She's history. I asked our reporter who keeps track of this show about the new ADA for next season, and as of this moment, no one has been announced. I like your idea of the revolving door, though. March has come back from time to time, and she's always welcome.

Exclusive: Maria Bello Signs On to SVUwww.tvguide.com/News/Maria-Bello-SVU-1020700.aspxJul 19, 2010 01:14 ET by Mickey O'Connor Maria Bello has signed on to appear on Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. The Golden Globe- and SAG-nominated actress (A History of Violence, The Cooler) will appear in two episodes, playing a woman with a secret past that Detective Benson is investigating, according to a source close to the production. It's also a reunion of sorts for Bello and SVU executive producer Neal Baer, who worked together on ER. Her episodes have not been scheduled. Some of you may remember that Mariska appeared on ER when Maria was also on and they became good friends.
