MEGA BUZZ www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Revenge-SVU-Spoilers-1047883.aspxAny clues about SVU's big cliff-hanger? — Devo
ADAM: Remember the infamous "horse's head" scene in The Godfather? Well, replace the horse's head with a dead hooker and the big-mouth Hollywood producer with Capt. Cragen, and you've got one of the finale's most perplexing scenes. "I didn't know why I was in the situation I was in," Dann Florek, who plays Cragen, says. "It's hard to play that because Cragen is such a solid, down-to-earth, regular-Joe kind of guy."

www.tvguide.com/News/SVU-Roger-Bart-Anna-Chlumsky-1051502.aspxLaw & Order: SVU Arrests Revenge's Roger Bart, Veep's Anna ChlumskyAug 2, 2012 by Kate Stanhope Law & Order: SVU has booked Revenge scene-stealer Roger Bart, Veep's Anna Chlumsky and Broadway vet Raúl Esparza for an upcoming episode, NBC announced Thursday. In the episode, titled "Twenty-Five Acts," Chlumsky plays the author of a best-selling erotic novel — maybe a nod to 50 Shades of Grey? — who accuses a high-profile talk show host (Bart) of a brutal rape. However, the SVU squad gets suspicious when they discover her account of the rape mimics the chapters in her book. The squad, along with the DA's office (Esparza), also struggles to keep the case from turning into a media frenzy. The episode is set to air sometime this fall. The trio join previously announced recurring guest star Adam Baldwin, who will play the new captain of the squad. Bart is best known for his roles on Desperate Housewives and Revenge, and can currently be seen in USA's Political Animals. Chlumsky, who rose to fame in My Girl, currently stars on HBO's political comedy Veep. Esparza has guest-starred on both Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent and most recently starred in the Broadway production Leap of Faith, co-written by SVU showrunner Warren Leight. The new season of Law & Order: SVU premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c.

MEGA BUZZ www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Fringe-Castle-Greys-Spoilers-1052632.aspxMega Buzz: Fringe Death, Castle's Morning After and a "Damaged" Grey's CoupleSep 4, 2012 by Adam Bryant and Natalie Abrams I'm excited for Kathyrn Erbe to come to SVU. What can you tell me about her visit? — Jessica
ADAM: Although Erbe's reprising her role as Detective Eames from Criminal Intent, she is now working with Homeland Security as part of a joint task force investigating terrorists. She'll meet up with Benson & Co. when the terrorists are connected to a sex-trafficking ring. Executive producer Warren Leight (who ran CI for several seasons) says he was struck by the characters' similarities. "These are two women who had long-term partnerships with difficult guys," Leight says. "These are two people who've been underestimated — who've worked just as hard, just as long —and people don't quite get how good they are." But those people will have ample opportunity to see what they've been missing: Leight promises Erbe will be back at least once later in the season.

tvline.com/2012/11/06/law-order-svu-season-14-patricia-arquette-hooker/#more-378461Scoop: SVU Casts Patricia Arquette as a Hooker, TV Vet Anne Meara as Her MomNov. 6th, 2012 by Kimberly Roots A riddle: How can an upcoming Law & Order: SVU guest star be both a big name and also a Medium one? Here's how: Medium star Patricia Arquette will play a call girl on a November episode of the NBC procedural, TVLine has learned exclusively. Small-screen vet Anne Meara will play her mom. In the episode, which also features guest star Jason Gedrick (Dexter), a armed and dangerous man goes on a killing spree in New York City. Arquette's character Jeannie is a prostitute with whom the murderer has a weekly appointment and she's nowhere to be found. The SVU team then must convince jaded fellow NYPD officers that the working girl's life is worth saving. Meara appears as Jeannie's (understandably) worried mother Irene. Arquette played Medium's spiritually connected Allison Dubois for the drama's seven-season run. Meara's long list of TV credits include The King of Queens, Oz, Alf, Archie Bunker's Place and a 2004 SVU episode in which she also played a mom of a serial killer. SVU airs Wednesdays at 9/8c.

The Oscar nominee will appear in an upcoming episode as Counselor Minonna Efron, whose client is on trial for assault and murder. D.A. Vardalos'episode is set to air on Jan. 30 and will also feature The Young and the Restless star Victoria Rowell and a cameo by The Howard Stern Show's Fred Norris. The NBC procedural has also booked Lost alum Harold Perrineau to play a career criminal named Brian Traymor. In the episode, featuring the return of Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden as FBI Agent Dana Lewis, Traymor is the prime suspect in a rape-murder case tied to several more investigations in the country. Lewis thinks Traymor is guilty, but Det. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is more uncertain. The Shield's Jay Karnes also appears in the episode, airing Feb. 6, as a friend of Agent Lewis and the fiancé of one of the victims. Vardalos most recently guest-starred on Grey's Anatomy last season. Perrineau recently recurred on Sons of Anarchy and currently stars on TBS' Wedding Band. Mike Tyson on SVU?! I never thought I'd see the day! www.deadline.com/2013/01/mike-tyson-to-play-convicted-murderer-on-law-order-svu/Mike Tyson To Play Convicted Murderer On ‘Law & Order: SVU’By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Thursday January 10, 2013 EXCLUSIVE: In his TV acting debut, former boxer Mike Tyson is going for some dark, dramatic stuff with a guest starring role on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU. He will play Reggie Rhodes, a murderer on death row whose violent actions may in part be the byproduct of a horrible childhood. His case attracts the attention of Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and defense attorney Bayard Ellis (recurring guest star Andre Braugher) during an SVU investigation. Also guest starring in the episode is Ed Asner as someone connected to the investigation. While he has played himself on a couple of TV comedies, including Who’s The Boss, Entourage and Breaking In as well as on the big screen in The Hangover franchise, this marks the first major acting gig for ICM Partners-repped Tyson. Veteran crime drama Law & Order: SVU, which is coming off hitting a season high last night, is executive produced by creator Dick Wolf, Warren Leight, Julie Martin, Michael Smith and Peter Jankowski.
