The Tudors is an excellent show and you can watch the first and second seasons on DVD. My dad's childhood friend and his wife have those on DVD and I watch them.

Awesome! Who knew Henry VIII could be such a brat that you'd feel like smacking him upside the head sometimes? LOL! Anyway, the writing is awesome and the show does try to be historically accurate.

Henry V111 was one of the most important figures in English History after Edward 111. he changed the course of religious history in England and his daughter Elizabeth 1st is the best ruler England ever had had exceot for maybe Queen Victoria.

He was. I'd also recommend watching Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett.

Still, it keeps you on the edge of your seat as you're watching Henry VIII and his crew make policy. I felt pretty sorry for Lady Mary, Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon's daughter, though.
