Since I first heard him in 1987 when my son brought his album home and then read his book in 1993 or 4, I have just thought he was multi talented and proved you could get out of the hood if ya put your talent to work for you in a positive way.

Funny thing, ladies, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons proved the same point growing up in the New Jersey of the 1950s. I went to Jersey Boys and the show was awesome! Lots of laugh out loud moments and a couple of very serious moments.

It was a good play, despite the swearing. LOL! I think the swearing was part of the story and three of the Four Seasons grew up in a rough part of Newark.

You should have seen audience members clapping and singing along to their hits, and my aunt Donna and I were among those singing along like we knew them by heart.
