Nice blurb on Hollywood smart women. from radar.com.
Hollywood's Smartest BeautiesHollywood's Smartest Beauties -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted on Jul 17, 2009 @ 03:32PM What makes a beautiful woman REALLY beautiful? It's brains, of course, and while Hollywood has been the home to many of "dumb blonde" it also has more than its share of girls who are as smart as they are gorgeous.
The folks at Asylum.com did some digging and came up with 15 ladies who are all winners in the brains-and-beauty departments. Natalie Portman, Mira Sorvino and Rashida Jones all graduated from Harvard, and they're not the only Ivy League alums. And did you know that legendary pin-up queen Jayne Mansfield, mom of TV's Mariska Hargitay, had an IQ of 160? You may be surprised at how many of your favorite actresses made the grade.Click Here For The Full List

Jayne Mansfield was a brilliant woman and few gave her credit for anything but her looks. Tragic.

That's good to know. Even women who left college to pursue their careers in acting, singing, etc, are smarter than people give them credit for. I think it's also the work and life experiences that make them wise.

I agree with that Almeda. Life is a great teacher.

I'm thinking Lynda Carter deserves a mention also. :-) She was - and still is - a hero and role model to young girls. I was one of the young girls who looked up to her and my mom.

Oh, she was brilliant in the SVU/Mothership crossover episode, all right! She didn't let herself get boxed in by her role as Wonder Woman, although I loved her in the role and the TV show when I was a kid.
