This has been the question among viewers for the whole 10 years.
Where does Elliot belong and with whom.
I of course chose Kathy, his wife.
I have love Kathy since Season One even though I was upset with her for leaving Elliot.
I feel they belong together.

Definitely Kathy!

Agreed. Workplace romances rarely work and Liv and Elliot would lose the whole dynamic of their partnership if they got together IMO.

I agree. I don't like the too much background on the detectives but we've had that since the beginning with El and family.

That was one of the good things about the show. It has a variety of Dets. A married one with a large family, a female det who was a child of rape, a some what jaded Det married several times and a black Det who is divorced. This is a sample of the real world in any police station in America.
It is sad that so many dislike Kathy and the whole marriage aspect.

I agree with both finaddict. Nice diversity and how much people want to see El and Kathy apart, esp when in the beginning the ties were so much stronger.
And I just realized I had actually forgot to vote in the poll...lol

I'm gonna nail him to Kathy if it's the last thing I do!
Here's my thought: If he goes with Olivia, that will leave Kathy with 5 children to take care of on her own. Sorry, but there's no possible side to E/O shipping/what have you. It's like one of those weird jerks who leaves their wife (either pregnant or with children) to be with a younger, childless person. I hear them all the time and I call those men pigs for doing what they do. He gets married, she get's pregnant/has the kid and he leaves her for someone else. Where's the sense in that?

That IS a good point. Of course it's TV but if that happened I think some non E/O shippers would HATE El for that.

If the E/O think ever occurrs the show is ruined, IMO.

It just bugs the hell out of me as how EO shippers think they should be together while Kathy is juggling the kids. And you think the two older girls are messed up now, go see what'll happen if that happened. And, just on a side note, if El ever did that I'd cut off his manliness without a second thought. -nod- ;D

LOL..I don't think Elliot woud dare mess with you. I respect all those who ship E/O and I know many of them.
I just don't think it is a realistic position and would ruin the whole partner dynamic that E/O have had for 10 years.

Elliot's kids definitely have their issues. This is also a slice of real life.

That is true, Patti. I had been told by my mother that they majority of army brats/preacher's kids/police pups have drug/drinking/emotional problems due to the stress of having to look good for the parent(s). I, being a preacher's kid, have my own problems that resulted in depression with having been pushed to look good for mum. That puts a lot of strain on us and others when people expect us to have proper manners/well behaved/whatever. I'm also a former army brat, so moving from that to a PK, there was no rest for the weary.
