If you thought you had heard everything, read the following Cleveland Indians comeback based on a bird..from yahoonews
Baseball: Indians' comeback is bird-aided

The Cleveland Indians completed their 4-3 comeback victory over the Kansas City Royals when Shin-Soo Choo lined a single off a low-flying sea gull in the 10th inning Thursday.
Royals center fielder Coco Crisp tried to make a play, but the ball clipped the wing of one of the hundreds of birds that have been buzzing the ballpark the past couple of weeks. The ball bounced past Crisp and Mark DeRosa, who had been on second, scored easily.
"I didn't see it, but I'll take it," Choo told reporters. "I've seen them for weeks and been worried maybe 200 of them would be flying and one would get hit when I was trying to field a ball. Then what would I do?"
The gull appeared to be stunned momentarily, but then flew off.
Although the gull contributed to an Indians win, former Stanford star Ryan Garko and other teammates are not amused by the presence of the flock.
"It's embarrassing," he told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We look like we're a bunch of little kids playing on an abandoned lot. There has to be a way to get rid of the seagulls."

It was the midges(little bugs) attacking the Yankees in the playoffs in 2007 and now the gull takes one for the team. In Cleveland if we can't beat ya, we bring in the wildlife.

Well last night I almost saw a no hitter. Cliff Lee was brilliant against the St. Lois Cardinals. Didn't give up a hit till the leadoff man in the top of the 8th. 3 hitter over all.
The game was the Sunday night game of the week on ESPN and we looked damn good.
Seagull update...they are setting off firecrackers at each 1/2 inning to chase them away..Scaring one of the ESPN announcers to death.

LOL! I was happy to read on Facebook yesterday that the Red Sox beat the Phillies. Sorry, Joan (Jett), but it's Red Sox all the way for me and my family. :-)

If we don't get some decent relief pitching I am going to go nutz. 3 games against the Brewers. 3 games of give aways by pitchers and centerfielders who are uncertain where the ball is.
