2 new addtions to the cast. One of them is a female, thank god!! ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/07/30/terrence-howard-joins-law-order-la/#more-10091 Breaking: Terrence Howard joins 'Law & Order: LA'I called it! Sorta. A little over a month after I suggested Dick Wolf recruit Terrence Howard for Law & Order: Los Angeles, the Oscar nominee has been cast in the spinoff. Here’s where the sorta part comes in…I actually recommended him for the role of lead detective Rex Winters (which went to Skeet Ulrich). The part he’ll be playing, however, is that of Deputy D.A.—a position he’ll split with Alfred Molina. Corey Stoll (Salt) rounds out the LOLA cast as Ulrich’s partner. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? ‘Cause I’m thinking it might be time to hire, oh, you know, a female. Just putting that out there. In other L&O brand news, Wolf confirmed at press tour this morning that attempts to relocate the mothership to another network have failed. In other words, it’s definitely dead. Post your eulogies in the comments. ausiellofiles.ew.com/Scoop: 'Law & Order: LA' collars 'CSI Miami' alum Wanda De JesusErasing fears that Dick Wolf was going with an all-male ensemble for Law & Order: Los Angeles, CSI: Miami grad Wanda De Jesus has joined the cast as Arleen Gonzales, the cool and authoritative captain of the Robbery Homicide Division. Additionally, Regina Hall (Ally McBeal) has been tapped to play beautiful and brainy ADA Eva Price. De Jesus (who got her start on a little soap called Santa Barbara) and Hall join the previously cast Skeet Ulrich, Corey Stoll, Alfred Molina, and Terrence Howard. Production on LOLA begins Monday.

One more female to add to the cast. They start filming Monday. Megan Boone Joins 'Law & Order: Los Angeles'www.deadline.com/2010/08/megan-boone-joins-law-jane-badler-boards-v/EXCLUSIVE: Megan Boone has joined the cast of NBC's new drama series Law & Order: Los Angeles as a regular. She will play a new DDA, tentatively named Lauren Gardner. Originally there was supposed to be one DDA on the series. But when the ADA duties were split in two after Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard signed on to play different ADAs each appearing in roughly half of the episodes, each of them needed his own assistant, thus the need for two DDAs on the show. Regina Hall was recently cast as DDA Eva Price, who assists Molina. Boone will be Howard's DDA. Also co-starring on the Wolf Films/UMS series are Skeet Ulrich, Corey Stoll and Wanda De Jesus. Boone, repped by Gersh and D/F, most recently played the lead on the CW pilot HMS. That pilot is not dead yet but the actors' options have expired.

I like the 2 ADA's and 2 DDA's more like real life for a city as big as LA. One ADA/DDA couldn't cath all the cases...

I like the idea of a married cop as that is pretty normal in real life but doesn't this sound like El and Cathy?

Wanda De Jesus Departs 'Law & Order: LA'
By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Friday September 10, 2010 @ 3:01pm PDT
EXCLUSIVE UPDATED: Law & Order: Los Angeles co-star Wanda De Jesus is exiting the upcoming NBC series. De Jesus filmed two episodes of the Law & Order spinoff playing Lieutenant Arleen Gonzales, the cool and authoritative captain of the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division. I hear that after two episodes, the producers on the Wolf Films/UMS procedural decided to take the role in a different direction. (The character already had been tweaked once, having originally been written as a male.) De Jesus' scenes will be reshot, and meetings are underway with potential replacements. Series regularly do recastings after the pilot. Since LOLA went straight to series, the show's producers have to make adjustments as they go. NBC is said to be interested in possibly casting De Jesus, who is the significant other of Jimmy Smits, star of NBC's new fall series Outlaw, in another project. LOLA stars Skeet Ulrich, Corey Stoll, Alfred Molina, Terrence Howard, Megan Boone and Regina Hall.
