I never liked him but then I watched more of it and I did. Don't see the show surviving.

Sorry to see you go, Vincent! :-( However, as you said, don't be surprised to see Bobby Goren pop up from time to time. :-)

Jeff Goldblum Leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intentwww.tvguide.com/News/Goldblum-Criminal-Intent-1021397.aspxAug 3, 2010 06:16 PM ET by Kate Stanhope Jeff Goldblum is leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent after two seasons, his rep says. The 57-year-old actor is exiting the USA procedural "due to the uncertainty" of the show's future, according to Variety, who first reported the news. Criminal Intent just wrapped its ninth season on July 6 and has not been renewed by USA. However, if the Law & Order spin-off does return, USA is likely to produce an abbreviated eight-episode final season and hopes to bring back the some of the series' original stars, including Vincent D'Onofrio, according to Deadline. D'Onofrio departed last year after eight seasons. It is also unclear if Goldblum's onscreen partner, Saffron Burrows, will return should the series be renewed. Series reps could not be immediately reached for comment. Goldblum will next be seen in the films The Switch and Morning Glory.

I can't see the show being renewed. Without Goren and Eames and Det. Logan I am not surprised.

Vincent D’Onofrio Returning to Law & Order: Criminal Intent for Final SeasonSep 21, 2010 06:44 PM ET by Kate Stanhope www.tvguide.com/News/Criminal-Intent-Final-Season-1023387.aspxVincent D'Onofrio will return to Law & Order: Criminal Intent for the series' 10th and intended final season, USA Network and Universal Cable productions announced Tuesday. The 51-year-old actor starred on the crime procedural for eight years before leaving the show after last season's first episode just this past spring, when he was succeeded by Jeff Goldblum. Goldblum announced his departure in August because of the "uncertainty" of the show's future, according to Variety. It's still unclear whether D'Onofrio will work alongside his longtime on-screen partner, Kathryn Erbe, or Goldblum's crime solving co-star, Saffron Burrows. Criminal Intent was the second spinoff from the flagship Law & Order brand when it began in 2001. After ratings started to decline, the series moved from NBC to sister cable station USA in 2007. The series' final eight episodes will air sometime in 2011. Criminal Intent is the second Law & Order series to get the axe, following the cancellation of the original series in May after 20 seasons. However, Universal Cable Productions also announced Tuesday that it has made a pilot commitment to a new project from Wolf. "We have been the fortunate caretakers of this legendary series, and we plan to give it the world-class farewell it so richly deserves. Dick and his team promise to create a major event for television with incredible surprises," said Jeff Wachtel, USA's president of original programming. "The plan is for this to be the series finale, but with a Dick Wolf franchise, one really never knows until it's over." For his part, creator/executive producer Dick Wolf said: "Only time will tell if this is a fond farewell or a renaissance for Detective Robert Goren ... Signed, Brett Favre"— a reference to the National Football League star quarterback who has famously dithered about retirement in the last three years.

I wish Noth & Erbe were both coming back. Noth is in The Good Wife so it is unlikely he would return.

Yes!!!! Eames is coming back!!!! ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/10/08/law-order-criminal-intent-kathryn-erbe-returns/#more-11758Law & Order: Criminal Intent Scoop: Kathryn Erbe reteams with Vincent D'onofrio for final season!Reunited and it feels so… absolutely perfect. Kathryn Erbe will be rejoining ex-partner Vincent D’Onofrio for the 10th and final season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, a USA Network spokesperson confirms. News of Erbe’s freshly-inked deal comes roughly three weeks after D’Onofrio announced his own return to the show. “I’m excited and grateful that Katie has decided to rejoin one of the best detective teams in the history of television,” said exec producer Dick Wolf in a statement. D’Onofrio and Erbe left CI at the beginning of the show’s ninth season. They were replaced by Jeff Goldblum and Saffron Burrows. CI‘s eight episode farewell season premieres sometime in 2011. Reaction? Considering this is what more than 98 percent of you were clamoring for, I’m guessing you’re pretty psyched.
