ICE-T ON HUNT FOR TWITTER IMPOSTOR
Rapper-turned-actor ICE-T is hunting for an internet user posing as him on social networking website Twitter.com - insisting he'd never write the "corny" messages posted on his fake page. The Law & Order: SVU star took friends' advice and created a profile on Twitter to help market his new record label, Final Level Music. But he was stunned to find there was already a page set up in his name. He says, "I went on Twitter... I found a dude on there named Ice-T, and he ain't (sic) even cool. Dude's got my name and he's got a picture of me from Law & Order, but I'm looking at what he's writing and it's real corny and whack. And I'm like, if you're going to represent me, at least have some flavour player." Ice-T pressed ahead and completed setting up his own profile, but has already caught himself writing details about his personal life he wishes he could take back. He adds, "I get on Twitter and it's kind of like, there are people stalking me now? Because I'm saying stuff like, 'I'm going to the movies.' And then I'm like, 'Why did I just do that?'"

That really is whack! Does the imposter even look like Ice? LOL! It's also not funny when you think every message about hackers on Facebook and other sites is serious and you get a message from someone you went to school with asking you to please stop sending them. How the heck am I supposed to know that they are hoaxes?

celebs have been targeted big time. I've spoke to people who think they've talked to members of Bon Jovi on myspace lol

I remember writing to Frankie Valli by e-mail because I thought he had an e-mail address. How embarrassing was that? LOL! That was eight years ago.

Celebs get imitated all the times and people fall for it. I guess Ice's imposter posted a pix from SVU.

Doom to the fool for doing that. If he can get mean on SVU, wonder what he's like in real life. This just made me chuckle at the thought of Ice interrogating the person.

Oh, he can get mean. Just because he plays a cop on the show and has a family of his own, it doesn't mean that he won't protect his family by doing that (getting mean, I mean).

it's tough because so many celebs use these things like twitter etc so sometimes it is hard to know who does and who doesn't.

I am naturally sceptical of anyone who claims to be famous online.

I wonder whether Ice would like some help in tracking down his imposter online. I'm good at researching that stuff. LOL!

I am naturally sceptical of anyone who claims to be famous online. SO SO true! But they find the believers to dupe!
